Barry Joel Isaacson, 74, adored son of the late William and Dorothy Isaacson; loving brother of Steven (Jackie) Isaacson; cherished uncle of Ashley (Tommy) DeGarmo, Hayley, Marley and Kiley Isaacson; much loved great-uncle of Dori; favorite cousin of Alan (Ellen) Toban, Ileane Steiner and Selwyn (Janice) Marcus among others; treasured by his best friends Bill (Dale) Reiff, Gary (Vickie) Freed and longtime companion Barbara Dykas; Barry was a great friend to many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Chapel service Tuesday, May 31, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Barry was our bigger than life friend who we partied with at his apartment, and lived life to the fullest on Division Street at Poet’s and elsewhere. He graciously rented Judith a room in his apartment in 1980 so she could move off campus and live with me. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
